V-RAY MATERIAL: GLASS

Realizziamo un semplice vetro con 3DS Max e V-Ray.

Carichiamo su uno slot vuoto un materiale VRayMtl.

We load the empty slot a VRayMtl material.

VETRO TRASPARENTE / CLEAR GLASS

Come colore nel canale Diffuse mettete il nero.
Reflect RGB 128, 128, 128
Attivate la riflessione Fresnel
Canale Refract RGB 230, 230, 230
How to color in the Diffuse channel put the black.
Reflect RGB 128, 128, 128
Activate the Fresnel reflection
Refract channel RGB 230, 230, 230

Render test

L'ombra è sbagliata. Per correggere questo errore, attiviamo l'opzione Affect Shadows.
The shadow is wrong. To correct this error, we activate the Affect Shadows option.

Adesso l'ombra è giusta. La rifrazione è ben visibile nei riquadri evidenziati.
Now the shade is right. Refraction is clearly visible in highlighted boxes.

VETRO COLORATO / COLORED GLASS

Per ottenere un vetro colorato non bisogna intervenire sul canale Diffuse bensì sul parametro Fog Color.
Agite anche sul parametro Fog Multiplier per dosare la quantità di colore.
To obtain a colored glass must not act on the Diffuse channel but on the parameter Fog Color.
Also act on Fog Multiplier for metering the amount of color.

VETRO SABBIATO / FROSTED GLASS

Abbassate il valore Glossiness della Refract per ottenere un effetto sabbiato.
Lower the Glossiness value of refract to get a frosted effect.
